The Design & Ordering Process

HOW TO ORDER YOUR SEMI-CUSTOM INVITATIONS

  • Peruse our collection of different designs and choose an invitation suite and day-of pieces that best suits your wedding style. Please read the Design Guide (you can customise your invitations by selecting your own paper stock, ink colour, print methods and any add ons you’d like to include). Our FAQ is also very helpful.

I highly recommend purchasing a sample pack to get a better idea of the different printing methods available, paper stocks and colours.

Feel free to contact me or organise a chat if you have any queries prior to requesting a quote.

  • If you’re happy after reviewing our quote, we will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit and contract to be signed. Once you fulfil the invoice and contract your project will be secured in our calendar.

  • All your details for the wedding such as the venue, times etc need to be finalised and wording for your invitations need to be supplied. Invitation wording suggestions can be found in our FAQ.

I’ll start working on customising your invitation suite once you submit all of your text.

  • Once we’ve completed customising your design within 5 business days, you’ll receive an email with a digital proof as a PDF file. Your quote allows for three minor revisions, but any further revisions or big design changes will incur extra cost.

  • Once all of the design is to your satisfaction, your written approval of the final artwork proof and the remaining balance of the invoice is required before we send your invitations to print!

  • When the printing is completed, I’ll carefully package everything and post your invitations to you, so you can assemble them and send them to your special guests! Yay!

All parcels are sent with tracking and a signature upon delivery for peace of mind. Local pick up can also be arranged.

Timeline

How long your project will take depends on your project! In general, all semi-custom orders from the Collection take approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Timelines depend on the scope of the project, printing methods, how many rounds of changes are required, and the client’s supply of final wording, artwork feedback and fulfilment of payments. Although we don’t recommend it, rush jobs can sometimes be accommodated if our schedule allows for it. Please note rush jobs incur a fee.

Please factor in the time it takes to address envelopes, assemble your suite and the post to send your invitations to your guests.

Also, please book your stationery project as early as possible. As a small boutique studio I am only able to take on a few clients at a time!

Head here (then click on ‘Timeline’ if using a mobile device) to see when you should be ordering and posting all your wedding stationery!

SEMI-CUSTOM STATIONERY PRICING GUIDE

Each Lucky Note Design Collection suite is available as separate card designs, so you can build the package that works for you and your budget. Most couples select an invitation card + envelope and an insert card (usually a RSVP or details card) for their ensemble. The costs below apply to this package and are a guide only. Cost per unit decreases the more cards you order. We believe each couple and wedding is unique - we work with you to choose items, printing methods, and quantities based on your event and requirements.

Additional cards, envelope printing, different paper stocks, die cut cards, printing finishes and embellishments such as rounded corners are available to add on to your package. Please see our Design Guide for more in depth explanations.
